# Supplier documentation update - 6 September 2026 Replaced the first-read handoff with a concise Rapid Product Solutions brief; retained technical detail separately; clarified quote stages, material capability, responsibilities and missing inputs; added BOM scope routing and refreshed delivery hashes. CAD and physical-test status are unchanged. ## Earlier CAD change record # R6 change log Base: Concept 21.2 Astra R5. Reason: expert review of 06 September 2026, general recommendations and complete Concept 21.2 section. 1. **Electronics definition:** searched both source board exports, project EDA files and cited Downloads originals. Preserved actual source geometry; no verified populated revision, SIM7670G installation or mated harness found. Added exact closure packet and connector/harness register. 2. **PTT/USB and J3:** added rounded internal buttresses and a J3 inboard rib within the original body envelope. Original exterior/opening profiles and sampled thin J3 corner remain. Added literal C01/C02 test sections and cable/end-press test setup; no structural strength claim. 3. **Grille:** widened flexible pocket to 62.6 x64.6 R16.3 while retaining the 61.7 x63.7 R15.85 blank and 721-hole W. Added 0.15 recessed chassis seat to accommodate the complete finished stack. Added 304 SS, nitrogen-laser, edge, flatness and H-146 coating proposals, finished tolerance arithmetic and backing comparison coupon. 4. **PTT:** original paddle and switch locations retained. Reduced starting pads from2.30 to2.25 for nominal0.05 free gap. Enlarged carrier slots to4.0 x2.4. Added explicit parallel OR behavior, independent switch-trace setup, force-based pad qualification, bounded adjustment and end/center inspection. 5. **Retention and inserts:** quantified foam contact areas/compressions, thickness-specific material candidates and 25% CFD loads; exposed unresolved load equilibrium. No swelling credit. Added four7.2 mm side-boss collars; shortened two microphone blind bores to5.0, restoring1.0 mm floor. Audited all14 manufacturer inserts and specified controlled insertion depth. 6. **Appearance:** defined PU and silicone candidate routes, subtractive fine grain, sheen/color master process and registered bonding. Changed grip/grille adhesive provision to0.13 to accommodate a real transfer-tape candidate within the existing envelope. Preserved exact rear artwork; checked revised0.82 nominal residual below deboss. 7. **Handoff:** brought the page38 issues forward into a one-page release sheet with owner roles, explicit evidence and open status. Added six coupon sets, finished drawings, rebuildable source, STEP/STL, matched renders, BOM, validation and physical inspection templates. All new dimensions and test thresholds are engineering proposals unless identified as measured geometry or manufacturer data. Physical tests have not been performed by this revision task. No production or tooling release.
