# WALKIE ONE v12.3 — Printable Halftone-W No-Stack Enclosure

This is the shop-ready Fusion package for the 78 × 150 × 24 mm no-stack prototype. The battery and PCB occupy separate plan regions rather than being stacked through the device thickness.

## Main CAD

- `Walkie_Talkie_Enclosure_Fusion_v12_3_NoStack.f3d` — editable parametric Fusion archive with named manufacturing parameters and positioned component references.
- `Walkie_Talkie_Enclosure_Fusion_v12_3_NoStack.step` — neutral assembly exchange file.
- Nine STL and nine 3MF files — eight assembled printed pieces plus one process/tolerance coupon.
- `Internal_Component_CAD_Originals/` — unchanged supplied PCB, battery, switch, microphone, speaker, LED, and antenna models.
- `Brand_Artwork/` — original supplied grille and rear-brand artwork, retained for provenance.

## v12.3 grille change

The previous 1,129-hole SVG grille has been replaced by the approved coarse three-size halftone W:

- 121 circular perforations: 32 × Ø1.4 mm, 48 × Ø1.8 mm, and 41 × Ø2.2 mm.
- 3.2 mm nearest-neighbor triangular-lattice pitch.
- Exact 1.0 mm minimum hole-to-hole web.
- 39.2 mm overall field and 27.1% geometric open area.
- W is created by larger dots around four centerlines, with no circular exterior indentation.
- Hole count is reduced 89.3%; the front-shell mesh drops from roughly 399,000 to 41,908 facets.

All grille values are exposed as named Fusion parameters. The tolerance coupon now contains the three approved hole sizes and a pair of Ø2.2 mm openings at the minimum-web condition.

## Verified result

- Zero unintended printed-part, button, seam, USB-plug, rigid hardware-to-shell, or rigid hardware-to-hardware interference.
- Battery-to-PCB measured plan gap: 1.29 mm; they are not stacked.
- All four buttons pass full modeled hard travel and engage their actual switches.
- All nine STLs have zero open edges, zero non-manifold edges, and zero degenerate triangles.
- All nine 3MF containers pass integrity testing.
- Six opaque exterior views show no bottom pry gap or exposed internal supports.

## Required physical validation

The rigid CAD and exported meshes pass, but actual printer compensation and speaker SPL/frequency response, buzz, gasket sealing, plug cycling, flexible-lead routing, screw engagement, antenna performance, and battery safety require a first article.
