# Walkie One — Concept 27 R1

Selected direction: chalk-white rigid case, warm-grey soft rim, orange ribbed press-to-talk grip, and brushed pewter front/volume button faces. The microphone and its internal mounting features move to the centerline shared by the indicator and front action button. The Concept 26 v12.3 NoStack enclosure is the geometric baseline.

## Open these first

- `cad/Walkie_One_Concept_27_R1.step` — assembled CAD, 17 separate solid components, millimetres. Import into Fusion, SolidWorks, Rhino or another STEP-capable CAD tool.

**Review the inherited front-switch clamp screw access before fabrication.** The baseline front shell contains two fully enclosed Ø1.7 × 0.6 mm pilot cavities at the M2 clamp locations. This revision preserves them. A builder must resolve the required access/fastening arrangement before attempting final assembly. This is a prototype review release, not a production or print-readiness certification.

## Design and dimensions

The rigid body remains nominally **78 × 150 × 24 mm**. The complete assembly including the rim and buttons measures approximately **83.35 × 152.70 × 24.739 mm**. Coordinates are X right, Y up, front toward +Z; the rigid front face is Z=0 and the rear is Z=-24.

- The 121-hole halftone W speaker grille retains the original hole centers and diameters.
- The microphone port moves from X=14 to X=0 at Y=-14, together with the source microphone pocket, gasket interface and retention features. The previous port is filled.
- A separate removable rim has a nominal 1.2 mm wall and 0.15 mm clearance to the source outer envelope. Control and USB openings are included.
- The orange PTT face has 23 modeled ribs, 2.10 mm pitch and 0.45 mm height, plus four flexible retention studs and a modeled bond layer.
- The front action and volume faces are separate metal parts on rigid carriers. The original exterior profiles and recessed symbols are retained.

## Contents and use

`cad/parts/` contains one STEP per component. `meshes/` contains corresponding watertight STL meshes in millimetres and assembled coordinates. **The 17 solids are not 17 print jobs:** four are reference adhesive films and three are intended metal faces. Reorient individual parts in the slicer. Do not print the assembled model as one fused object.

`source/build_concept27.py` and `source/parameters.json` are Adam's unmodified, editable geometry source. `source/export_previews.py` includes Codex's reviewed export corrections for material assignment, color encoding, the Y-up coordinate frame and planar-normal verification. See `source/README.md` to rebuild.

`inputs/Walkie_Talkie_NoStack_v12_3/` preserves the original Concept 26 reference package, including its vendor component CAD and original F3D. That F3D is the **Concept 26 reference**, not a native Concept 27 Fusion timeline. The delivered Concept 27 authoring format is parameterized Python/BRep plus STEP.

`reference/Approved_Inspiration_Not_CAD.png` records the approved appearance direction; it is not a dimensional drawing. `reports/` and `validation/` record the part inventory, preview checks and independent geometry review. See `VALIDATION_AND_PROVENANCE.md` for their scope.
