# Concept 27 R2 shop notes

STEP is the dimensional authority, in millimetres and assembly coordinates. The 56 manufactured/reference solids are not 56 print jobs: 16 polymer parts, 3 metal faces, 29 compliant stock pieces, 2 sheet pieces and 6 adhesive references. Eighteen separately modeled screws are bought-in hardware.

Use individual polymer 3MFs/STLs; reorient, support and qualify process. No slicer profile or guaranteed printable orientation is provided. Optical parts require throughput/finish tests. Metal faces may be printed only as labeled fit substitutes. Do not print membranes, adhesive films or compressed foam as rigid solids. Free-state soft CAD and installed-state CAD serve different purposes.

All pilot cylinders are nominal prototype features, not a qualified thread specification. The screw CAD contains minor-diameter cores and modeled heads/drives; helical threads are omitted. Separate full-major-diameter envelope checks are included. Select pilot preparation, permissible engagement, head drive and torque using the actual material and fastener. No production tooling or native Fusion feature tree is included.

The original main front-clamp pilot was accessible with the board removed; R2 joins its separate blind cavity and supplies flush screws. Earlier R1 wording overstated this as entirely inaccessible.
