# Walkie One R3.4 - Changes Explained

Narrated CAD walkthrough; R3.3 to R3.4.

## Fewer fragile details. A clearer print set.

R3.4 is the print-focused revision of R3.3. Rigid case: 78 × 150 × 24 mm. Electronics and control locations retained. This remains separate from the 28.2 branch.

## Remove the remnants. Keep useful structure.

Removed obsolete cage fragments, including a 0.05 mm strip. Rebuilt local shell skin and replaced the thin tongue with a screw-clamped butt joint. Fewer delicate edges to print and clean up; active openings retained.

## Support the switch with a simpler cradle.

Broader rails and floors replace fragile front lips and terminal strips. Seat and stop shims are integrated. Do not add the old shims again. Install switches face down until the rear shell captures them.

## One-piece play and volume controls.

Printed play and volume caps are combined with their carriers. Fewer separate cap bonds and assembly steps for the fit prototype. Reinforced talk carrier; smooth grip remains a separate flexible part.

## More material around the fixings.

Talk guides: 5.0 mm outside, 2.6 mm bore, 1.2 mm nominal wall. Tiny locating nibs removed; wider screw ears; reinforced mic and LED keepers. Intended to improve handling; physical strength still needs testing.

## Add material where the assembly has room.

Added material was checked against surrounding components. Cable-bridge roof and battery fence: 1.0 mm sections. The thicker grille bezel projects 1 mm farther forward.

## Checked geometry. Checked print meshes.

25 parts passed the structural wall screen; no flagged measurements below 1 mm. All STLs are single watertight meshes. 20 sampled button positions passed. Geometry checks are not an every-point proof or a physical strength test.

## Four main plates. Twenty-one PLA parts.

4 main Bambu Studio projects: 21 rigid PLA parts. P1S / 0.4 mm nozzle. All 5 projects test-sliced successfully with zero mesh repairs. Rim and talk grip remain separate: flexible material required.

## A better prototype starts the next fit test.

Start with the button-fit plate: seating, return, supports and screw clearance. Switch dimensions remain nominal; the missing cellular-module solid is a placeholder. A better fit-prototype basis. Wiring, optics, RF and physical durability remain to test.
