# Version 28.4 — Future Exploration

Original exterior durability redesign. Physical review pending; Golden remains 28.1 / R3.4.

Website Version 28.4 names engineering build 28.1 / R3.6. Original engineering filenames, the PDF and the video retain that identity. They describe this same build. No device geometry was changed for publication.

Bare case: 78 × 150 × 24 mm. Battery maximum body: 62 × 38.5 × 8.5 mm plus assembly clearance.

## Start here

1. Read Documents/Walkie_One_R3_6_Durability_Review.pdf (16 pages) and START_HERE.md.
2. Print individual files in Print_Parts/STL or STEP at 100% scale, in millimetres. Separate/orient parts for the intended process. Rigid: 24; flexible F01/F02: 2; optical fit proxies L01/L02: 2. No pre-sliced G-code or printer profiles are included.
3. Use Coupons with matching material, orientation and process before committing the affected product parts.
4. Read Documents/Hardware_Schedule.md, Soft_Stock_and_Purchased_Parts.md, Driver_Access_and_Fastening_Order.md and Assembly_and_Qualification.md together.
5. The FULL_REFERENCE_ASSEMBLY includes purchased electronics, wires, screws, pads and gauges. It is for review, not direct slicing. Native F3D files are editable direct solids.
6. Video/ contains the narrated changes explainer and transcript. Images/ contains actual CAD views and internal sections.

## Print review

Do not force insertion or pull the case closed with screws. Keep the battery factory lead, plug, protection and tape intact. Follow the removable adapter fabrication/pin-net instructions. Measure the actual battery, switches/travel, PCB, installed stock and screw heads.

Keep the bumper off for fastening. Antenna clamps before battery; volume captures before the adjacent J9 common wire; battery keepers before factory lead 2. Fit the bumper last.

Perform ten complete assembly/service cycles and 1,000 actuations of each control, including edge/end presses with case tightened and wiring installed. Inspect cracks, binding, deformation, loosening and pinching. Complete electrical, charging, acoustic, optical and RF checks. Record results in Documents/Physical_Qualification_Log.csv.

Digital checks passed; physical qualification is outstanding. Critical residual sections, tight optical/play interfaces and antenna spacing are documented in the review. Each material/process needs its own tests. Promotion to Golden requires a separate decision after reviewing results.
