# Walkie One · Simple S1

## 00:00:00 · Same idea. Far fewer parts.

This is Walkie One, Simple S one. The Chalk Ember inspiration stays. The enclosure has been rebuilt from scratch around a much simpler assembly, with the same overall size limit.

## 00:00:11 · 8 printed parts. 6 screws.

Version twenty-eight point five had twenty-one printed parts and twenty-two screws. S one has eight printed parts and six screws. Two shells, four buttons, one control bridge, and one clear light guide.

## 00:00:24 · The same core components.

The main circuit board lies flat on built-in supports. The battery, speaker, Adafruit microphone, switches, indicator and antenna have simple seats. The design removes the separate board carrier and the collection of small retaining brackets.

## 00:00:39 · One open speaker hole.

The speaker opening is one clear, thirty-five millimeter hole. There are no printed grille bars and no mesh. The speaker mounts behind the rim, with its cone left exposed.

## 00:00:49 · Substantial walls. Simple stops.

Side and rear walls are two point four millimeters thick, and the front is three. The long bridge arm is reinforced to four millimeters. Sliding buttons use broad flanges and positive stops instead of thin snap hooks.

## 00:01:02 · No bigger.

The assembled size remains seventy-eight wide, one hundred fifty tall, and twenty-four millimeters deep, including the side buttons. Finishing must stay within that envelope.

## 00:01:13 · Rubber bumper: a later revision.

There is no separate rubber band in this version. The perimeter is rigid. A rubber bumper remains a future requirement, and the rigid case will need to make room for it within the same size limit.

## 00:01:24 · Print one. Build it. Check it.

The seven rigid parts pass a sample PETG slice. The light guide is a separate clear resin print. Digital fit checks pass, but the first physical build still needs to prove wiring, button feel, sound, light, radio performance and strength.

The separate rubber/TPU perimeter band is not included in S1. It remains a future requirement within the 78 × 150 × 24 mm maximum finished envelope. A rigid-shell revision will need to allocate that space.
